The new album Shinsekai has finally dropped by the legends themselves MUCC. And boy did they not only deliver but brought to the table a bunch of new sounds and talents. Shinsekai (otherwise known as New World) is a aural masterpiece which blends J-Metal, Visual kei, blues and 80s glam rock all into one and done incredibly well. Tatsurou’s Vocals are impeccable conquering high wailing notes, to deep grungy growls, to the smoother than silk verses, his vocal talent knows no bounds. He really makes each song sound so different yet still, we know its MUCC. The guitar progressions are some of the best I have heard in a long time, and match perfectly in tone with Tatsurou’s vocals. Miya and Yukke really bring each song together with some epic guitar solo’s and fretwork not to mention harmonious backing vocals. Mucc can be completely proud of their 16th studio album.
