Arctic Monkeys fans wait no longer. The band announced their 7th album titled “The Cars” to be released October 21, 2022. You can pre order now at Arctic Monkeys, the deluxe cd, vinyl/cassette bundles and digital download.
Fans attending the Zurich Openair festival in Switzerland were treated with the sneak peak of album track “I aint quite where i think i am,” a fan in the crowed capturing the classic Arctic Monkeys sound with clear poetic vocals and harmonies-Arctic Monkeys New Song 2022 – I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am? – YouTube (this just makes me all the more excited for January)
The 10 track record brings relief to a drought of over 4 years, since the release of Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. Questions float around fan groups leaving people wondering if the sound will be a departure from the TBHAC scifi sound to a classic AM sound, or a completely new genre. Only time will tell.
One things for certain- Arctic Monkeys prove to the world their position as music legends into 2022.
